Overview
Funded by the Taiwan STEM Foundation — a consortium of TSMC, MediaTek, Delta Electronics, and Foxconn — to attract exceptional STEM talent from South and Southeast Asia. Only 30 awards made annually across all eligible countries. The most competitive privately funded scholarship in Taiwan.
Full Package
• 100% tuition waiver at one of 5 eligible universities (NTU, NTHU, NCKU, NYCU, NTUST)
• Monthly living stipend: 20,000 TWD for 24 months
• University dormitory fees fully covered
• One-time arrival allowance: 25,000 TWD
• Round-trip economy airfare once per year
• Mandatory 3-month paid industry internship at TSMC Foundation member company (35,000–45,000 TWD/month during internship)

Strict Requirements
• GPA: 3.7/4.0 or above (class rank top 5% preferred)
• IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL iBT 100 minimum
• At least 1 published/accepted paper at indexed journal or international conference — OR significant research thesis
• Detailed research proposal: 4,000–6,000 words
• 3 recommendation letters (at least 2 from research supervisors)
• 5-minute video introduction
